Behavior Management Training Therapy Groups

Virtual and offered throughout the year

 

For parents or caregivers of children ages 2-8 years old with disruptive behaviors such as tantrums, defiance, screaming, ignoring, or stalling.

You will learn about using positive attention, reward plans, and time outs, and receive individualized feedback. You will also receive support through talking to other parents with similar challenges.

Groups consist of 6 weekly 90-minute sessions on Zoom

Cost: $890*

  • 60-minute individual intake with Dr. Bell - $200

  • Each 90-minute group: $115

* Compare to individual therapy which typically costs upwards of $2000 for similar treatments

Group Itinerary:

  • Week 1: Preventing Misbehavior – Learn strategies to set your children up for success before misbehavior can show up.

  • Week 2: Parental Attention – Master different ways to use your own attention to promote positive behavior.

  • Week 3: Routines, House Rules, and Rewards – Develop routines that fit your family’s needs and find incentives (big or small) that actually work.

  • Week 4: Effective Instructions – Learn more effective ways of giving instructions and promoting first-time listening.

  • Week 5: Dealing with Big Behavior – Learn evidence-based strategies for responding to big feelings that lead to aggression or tantrums.

  • Week 6: Parenting, Above and Beyond! – Review of workshop strategies, fine-tuning your plan for implementing skills learned, and workshop graduation.

Dr. Ziv Bell, PhD

Dr. Ziv conducts evidence-based, effective, efficient, client-centered, and goal-oriented cognitive-behavioral therapies (CBT). He focuses on conducting solution-focused, meaningful, and understandable psychological assessments to help families understand their child or adolescent’s strengths and challenges.
